Tourist things to do
Notre-Dame de la Garde - This Catholic Basilica offers incredible views of the city and it's surrounding water. You can either walk or take a taxi up the hill to get to the bottom of the Basilica. Once there you can marvel at the stunning view it has to offer. Both locals and tourists come here as it is so beautiful. Mucem - The Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations is beautiful both from the outside and what it exhibits inside. It is located right next to the water and the beautiful . There's a mixture of art, sculpture and photography, but the part I enjoyed the most was the architecture and the rooftop relaxing area. |
What the locals do
Chill around the Marina - You will see that some of the locals love to relax around the marina, have a swim in the sea and eat in the restaurants that surround the marina. It is a fantastic spectacle and you can see it from multiple points in the city as there are long straight streets that are on hills so you can look upon it. Hidden Gems Go on a boat trip around the surrounding islands - This is an wonderful experience and there are many boat guides around the marina that you can choose from to take you to the beautiful surrounding islands. Make sure you pick a tour guide that lets you get off the boat when you get to the islands as it is a brilliant place to relax and splash around in the water. |
