Touristy things to do
Eiffel tower - It is a delightful experience to see it from the top and from ground level. In the day and at day when the sparkling light comes on it's amazing to see. It is one of the most iconic buildings in the world and a must see if you go to Paris. It has a lot of steps so make sure you are ready for all that walking. The view of Paris you get from the top viewing platform is also really nice on a very sunny day! Champs-Élysées - This road that stretches a long way and allows you to view the beautiful Arc de triumph from both close and far back. It is 1.2 miles long and stretches through the heart of Paris. It has such a wide choice of theatres, cafés and luxury shops. Every year the road also hosts the Bastille Day parade and the finale of the Tour de France race. |
Le Louvre - It is an amazing building to view from the outside. It looks like a shard of glass has been thrown into the ground and the museum is below the surface. All art lovers will enjoy their visit here. There are always loads of exhibitions and quality art on show. The well-known Mona Lisa is available to view and gawk at in the incredible museum. There are so many more exhibitions other than this painting though. The museum is so big that you'll need to plan your visit rather than just walking around it if you want to see everything.
What the locals do Paris Plage - There is always loads to do in Paris from public events to private tastings. Paris Plage is something that many local Parisians do in the the summer, relaxing on the sandy banks of the Seine. This area of Paris always gets very busy as the atmosphere is so lively. Taking a few ice creams down there and watching the world go by is an ideal way to spend a day in Paris. Moncoeur Belleville - The top of the Parc de Belleville is an amazing place to be and because not many tourists know about it, this is where most Parisians go. The cafes around Moncoeur Belleville are quite traditional and there are plenty of places to just enjoy the view you can see from there. |

Tips
- Don’t think about driving around paris, it’s mayhem.
- Get the free app of Paris’s metro map on your phone. This will mean that you can refer to it when you don’t have any internet too.
- Fireworks and parties on July 14th, Bastille Day.
- The Louvre is closed on Tuesdays.
- A lot of ice rinks are free, you just have to pay for you skates.
- Like many other cities there aren’t many free public toilets so go in your hotel or a restaurant/café you eat in.
